Manhattan DA seeks limit on Trump rallies to 30 minutes during visiting hours
NEW YORK (The Egg) — Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is preparing to ask a judge this week to place a limit on future political rallies held by former President Donald Trump to only 30 minutes during visiting hours while he is incarcerated.
According to a statement released by the district attorney’s office, Bragg is hoping to place restrictions on how the former president holds campaign events while he’s in jail, arguing that Trump should not get special treatment, but rather get the same visitor restrictions that other inmates have.
“If former President Donald J. Trump wants to hold a political rally while he’s incarcerated, he can do so for 30 minutes on Wednesdays and Thursdays, anytime between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm just like the other inmates,” Bragg wrote in a statement to the press.
“Rally attendees must check-in one hour before visit time; all weapons, drugs, and pro-Russia paraphernalia will be confiscated,” the statement continued.
The news of an imminent indictment has hit Trump particularly hard, leaving many Palm Beach area McDonald’s restaurants scrambling to hide the ketchup dispensers and close the drive-thru windows, hoping to avoid cleaning up Trump’s last meal.
“Rest assured, I will work hard to make certain that former President Trump does not have access to ketchup while in custody,” Bragg wrote.
