Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis admits 'ugly-ass' podium signs actually made by himself
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (The Egg) — Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis admitted in a press conference on Friday that the “ugly-ass” podium sign he was standing behind was actually made by himself, stating that he’s struggling to find a “non-woke” graphic designer to work for him.
A reporter questioned DeSantis about the sign, saying that “the ugly-ass sign is distracting” him from hearing his remarks and “looked like a 10-year-old made it,” shortly before being escorted out of the building and sent to a Florida reeducation camp in Polk County.
“This is not an ugly-ass sign!” DeSantis fired back at the reporter. “It’s been challenging to find a designer that's not part of the woke media establishment, but I think my font choices are rather masculine and reflect my Midwestern values.”
The press conference continued with DeSantis visibly shaken. He eventually regained composure and called for an aide to bring out a replacement sign and taller boots to make himself feel better.
“The liberal elite just want to bring me down with lies and woke innuendo. That won’t happen on my watch,” DeSantis said, eliciting mild applause from the crowd that mostly slept through the press event.
After the press conference ended, a child went up to DeSantis and handed him a crayon drawing of a sign and said that he should use it instead.
